- Truckee-Tahoe Airport (KTRK): For travelers heading to Truckee, Northstar, Tahoe City, Olympic Valley, or other North Shore communities, Truckee-Tahoe Airport places private aircraft directly in the mountains rather than requiring the longer ground transfer from Reno. The airport operates a 7,000-foot runway at an elevation of approximately 5,897 feet and provides Jet-A fuel, transient parking, executive hangars, ground-support services, and on-site aviation services.
- Reno-Tahoe International Airport (KRNO):For travelers using heavy or ultra-long-range aircraft, traveling to South Lake Tahoe, or requiring greater operating flexibility, Reno-Tahoe International Airport is an important alternative. KRNO is a full-service commercial and general aviation airport with multiple FBO options, including Atlantic Aviation and Stellar Aviation. Reno is also roughly 30 minutes from Truckee, while travel time to Lake Tahoe varies depending on the final destination and weather conditions.
